Spring Technical Forum

ENGINEERED TO INSPIRE

The 2015 Spring Technical Forum is all about advanced technology concepts that will drive innovations and breakthroughs in digital communications. Featuring topical panels, networking events and presentations from authors of peer-selected papers, The Spring Technical Forum takes place during INTX in Chicago, May 5-7, and is produced by NCTA, SCTE and CableLabs®.

The 2015 call-for-papers closed on December 12, 2014. Selected authors will be announced early next year. In the meantime, explore the industry’s entire technical archive including the annual Spring Technical Forum Proceedings, produced in collaboration with CableLabs® and SCTE since 2010, as well as the historic back catalogue of the NCTA Technical Papers. All of which are now available to download for free.

About Spring Technical Forum

Just like The Cable Show before it, INTX will feature the Spring Technical Forum where leading technologists, engineers and scientists share ideas and insights around cable technology advancements. Authors of peer-selected papers join with top technology developers and strategists in a focused forum devoted to next-generation technology innovations.

SPRING TECHNICAL FORUM PROCEEDINGS

At The 2015 Spring Technical Forum, you’ll hear live from authors whose work has been selected for inclusion in The Spring Technical Forum Proceedings, the annual, peer-reviewed compilation of leading thinking in cable science and technology. These author presentations coincide with the release of the Proceedings online.

Together, the published Proceedings and the live presentations offer an unmatched resource for learning about new engineering and technology concepts and the science behind them.

A unique collaboration among the NCTA, the SCTE and CableLabs®, the Spring Technical Forum delivers vital, current intelligence around the technologies and techniques that will advance cable’s product and service capabilities.

THE SPRING TECHNICAL FORUM PROCEEDINGS ARE…

A SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL

The Spring Technical Forum Proceedings serve as the cable telecommunications industry’s record of breakthrough advances in technology. The collection embodies ideas that are new, problem-solving in nature, and dedicated to advancing the underlying science of the cable business.

A NON-COMMERCIAL JOURNAL AND FORUM

Rather than offer a venue to launch or advertise new brands and products, The 2015 Spring Technical Forum presents a conference for discussing new concepts, methods, and techniques. The Proceedings focus primarily on technical issues and in some cases business implications associated with advancing the underlying science.
